Before housing the headquarters of Gruppo Abele this former engineering factory, dating back to 1940, had been neglected and fallen in disuse for a long time. The first activity that moved here in 1998 - as an "outpost" of the Association - was the Documentation and Research Centre with its library.

Starting in 1997, the factory premises were completely restored and now this building is a place where - in addition to most of Gruppo Abele's activities - cultural and political initiatives take place, with the purpose of promoting contacts, exchange, commitment, solidarity and social justice.
